Recommended Tools:

• Wrench or ratchet set
• Philips screwdriver

Optional Tools:

• Additional zip ties
• Double-sided tape

Install each HID bulb into your headlight socket.

Twist-in-style bulbs: 9008, 9006, 9005, 880/890, H13, H11, H10 H9, H8; twist into the
housing to lock.
Spring Clip Style Bulbs: H1, H3, H7; use a wire spring to retain the bulb in place.
Retaining Clip: 9004, 9007; all use a separate retaining piece to hold the bulb into the
housing.

Additional Notes:
9006/9005 Note: That some bulbs, such as 9006 and 9005's, may have a thicker o-ring gasket. Simply reuse the o-ring from the original halogen bulbs.
H11 Note: The o-ring on the H11 bulbs must be pulled all the way to the bottom. The flat part of the o-ring will sit flush with the bottom base of the bulb.
H13/9008 Note: We've seen numerous cases of the halogen bulb's o-ring being stuck to the headlight housing when first removing the bulb. Simply pull it off the headlight before inserting the HID bulb.
H7 Note: Some vehicles use an adapter base for H7 bulbs. Contact us prior to order to see if an adapter is available. You will need to provide us a picture of your H7 adapter on the car before hand.

Place the provided wiring harness near your cars battery. Take the heavy black wire from the wiring harness and bolt it to any ground.

Note: Some of the relay harnesses we have received, have separate ground wires on each of the ballast plugs. Simply find a unique ground for each ground wire.

Note for Chrysler and Dodge (2000+): We've noticed that if you use an existing ground other than the battery (such as a common ground for other electrical systems on the car), it may trigger an error code inside the vehicle. It's best to use a new ground location on these cars. We've also seen a couple instances where using the main fuse box ground triggered error codes.

Locate a spot on your car where you can install the ballasts. The ballast needs to be able to reach not only the plugs from the HID bulbs, but also the plugs from the wiring harness.

Where possible, use an existing bolt hole to mount the ballasts. Additional securing of the ballasts may also be done through the use of zip ties and / or double-sided tape.

Recommendation:

• Leave some slack in between the wires so that none of them are pulled tight.
• Refrain from over-twisting any wires.
• Where possible, lay the ballasts so that the plugs are facing sideways or towards the bottom.
  

With the wiring harness, use the last unused plug, to plug into the your factory headlight harness. Only one of your factory headlight sockets will be used. With the other unused connection, wrap it in electrical tape to keep dirty and water out of the socket.

Double check all of your connections, make sure they are nice and tight. Triple check to make sure you have a good ground. Once that is done, turn on your headlights and enjoy.

Recommendation:

• Relays are not waterproof. Take care about where you place the relays. They are easily replaced, but if it goes bad, it will shut off both lights.
  • The relay used on the standard HID kits are 40-amp, 4-pin relays. These are available from most auto parts stores and if you're lucky, Radio Shack.
  • To replace the relay, simply pull it out and insert a new one.
• If you are over cautious about water or corrossion, apply dielectric grease on all connections (including the relay pins and fuse pins). This will go a long ways towards preventing corrossion related problems.
  • Dielectric grease can be found at any auto parts store. Same stuff they sell you when you're trying to buy spark plugs.
